    From I-185. Take exit 1B on to Victory Drive. Follow it for about five miles and watch for two large brick museum buildings on the left after passing large auto dealerships on the right. Turn left onto Lumpkin Road, then left into the museum parking lot.

    From US 431 coming from Alabama Take the exit onto Hwy 280 into Columbus, then cross the Chattahoochee River and follow 280 around the large curve. Immediately after the softball fields on the right, turn right onto Lumpkin Road and left into the museum parking lot.

    Director of Education and Programs

    Required Qualifications:
    Education/Experience: -Bachelor's degree in a related field or three years experience in education, living history, public history or related field.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    1) Ability to work enthusiastically with children
    2) Must be able to work without direct supervision
    3) Must have general range of computer skills
    4) Must be able and comfortable with public speaking
    5) Must have valid drivers license and be able to travel in own transportation for museum purposes.
    6) Must have fundamental understanding of and ability to use the Internet and the museum's website.
    8) Effective multi-tasking, priority-setting and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    9) Highly efficient in time management and can change tasks seamlessly.
    10) Knowledge of Civil War naval history helpful.

    This position is a city job with a salary from $27,000 to $31,000 depending on experience and education, and a full city benefits package. EOE.
