Civil War / Emancipation 150th
2011-2015 marks the Sesquicentennial Commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War and Emancipation. This five-year period will be highlighted by events and programs around the country commemorating, reenacting and remembering various events and stories from the war that would both divide a nation and free a people.
Port Columbus will host programs on the naval events of the war, as well as participate in events held elsewhere, to represent the naval forces of both the North and South. Watch this page for schedules and updates, as well as links to other events and information.
